King County’s homeless population has jumped 26% since 2022, despite heavy spending and tireless efforts. The regional approach to addressing the issue has been controversial, with uneven support outside Seattle. New King County Regional Homelessness Authority (KCRHA) leader Dr. Kelly Kinnison goes one-on-one with host Brian Callanan to tackle tough questions about community frustration, funding challenges, and how her pragmatic approach will make a difference.

Guest:

Kelly Kinnison, Ph.D., CEO, King County Regional Homelessness Authority (KCRHA)

Correction: Around the 11-minute mark of this interview, Dr. Kelly Kinnison misspoke regarding the HUD Continuum of Care funding. The KCRHS expects to receive $23M out of $67M from the HUD Continuum of Care funding. The balance is split with King County and 5 other non-profits.
