During the 4/24/25 Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners meeting, Seattle Parks and Recreation provided updates on various ongoing events and projects. The Seattle Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners is a volunteer advisory board established by ordinance. The Board consults with and makes recommendations to the City Council, the Mayor, and the Superintendent regarding Seattle Parks and Recreation's policies for the planning, development and use of the City's park and recreation facilities. And, provides oversight of the projects, programs, and services undertaken jointly by the City and the Seattle Park District, pursuant to the interlocal agreement between The City of Seattle and the Seattle Park District.
