CityStream: Learning the Ropes from a World Champion

For Rene Bibaud, jump roping has always been part of her life. As her skills grew so did her trophy case. After five world championships she was invited to perform for Cirque du Soleil. Now, she is a coach who teaches youngsters of all ages. Last summer, several of her students were on the podium at the American Jump Rope National Championships. Rene is proud of her students’ success, but one thing she hopes all the kids retain is a love of exercise and a lifelong desire to stay fit. Tatevik Aprikyan reports.
