Downtown Seattle Association President & CEO Jon Scholes shares insights and analysis on the present and future state of downtown in the DSA's 20th annual State of Downtown event. Scholes and others highlighted the latest data and storylines that have impacted the urban core.

The event features keynote speaker Marc Dunkelman, a fellow in International and Public Affairs at Brown University and author of the soon-to-be-released book "Why Nothing Works," following his first book, "The Vanishing Neighbor: The Transformation of American Community." Dunkelman brought years of experience from Washington, D.C., where he served as a senior fellow at the Clinton Foundation, worked on the staff of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and held the role of vice president for strategy and communications for the Democratic Leadership Council. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, and other major publications.
