Meet Mina Hashemi, director of Seattle’s Office of Intergovernmental Relations (OIR), a departmenting representing the city’s interests at every level of government, including local, regional, tribal, state, federal, and even international.

Before joining OIR, Hashemi worked in the King County Executive’s Office and with the Washington State House Democratic Committee. A proud Iranian American, she grew up in rural southwest Washington and she shared with the Seattle Channel how her upbringing — and her parents’ influence — shaped her path in public service.
